Cam Newton opens up about struggling with no longer being a "superman" to his eight kids after he lost his NFL salary. Newton has eight kids — sons Chosen, Camidas, Cashmere, Caesar and Jaden and daughters Sovereign-Dior, Shakira and a baby girl born in 2024.
Newton, who left the sport in 2021 after playing for the Carolina Panthers that season, said that it's been hard for him to feel like a "superman" to his eight kids now that he isn't making the same amount of money anymore. "Being in the NFL, everyone knows there's a large sum of money that comes to you in a short span of time and being away from the game for three years, those checks don't came in the same. In honor of Father's Day 2020, Newton — who had seven kids at the time — shared a series of photos of his family on Instagram, alongside a caption about his love of fatherhood.
