Calls for The Block to be axed after contestants QUIT just weeks into filming at Phillip Island and viewers criticise producers for focusing on 'drama' and not the renovations

Newly released photos from a promotional shoot for the upcoming season of The Block have all but confirmed that a pair of contestants have dramatically left the show.

And behind-the-scenes pictures from a cast photoshoot at Phillip Island on April 8th certainly suggest this is true, as the Blue team - consisting of an athletic male and glamorous blonde woman - are nowhere in sight. Meanwhile, two previously unseen women dressed in swimwear and pink caps were spotted with the cast members, suggesting they are a last minute addition to the show. The lively pictures taken last week show the newly-added Pink team consists of two stunning young women in their late 20s - a blonde and a brunette.
