Call The Midwife is about to enter the 1970s with the new series and fans are thrilled to see what's in store for the likes of Sister Monica Joan and Trixie Franklin
The much-loved show - which wrapped up its 13th series in March - saw Helen George's character Trixie Franklin hinting at a possible departure from Poplar to join her husband Matthew Aylward (played by Olly Rix) who has relocated to New York for work. The actress, who began her journey in 1953 after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, has earned numerous BAFTA nominations over the years and has graced some of the most popular TV series of the past few decades.
