California lawmakers say they are aiming to "modernize" and "amend" the California Film and TV Tax Credit Program to bring production back to the state

The California Senate is holding a joint hearing of the Revenue and Taxation and Budget and Fiscal Review Subcommittees to consider the proposals on Wednesday morning. PREVIOUS, FEBRUARY 26: The California Legislature has acknowledged that money alone might not be enough to entice production back to the state, introducing a pair of bills Wednesday aimed at bolstering Gov. Allen assured Wednesday that the plan remains at the forefront of the governor’s mind, despite the other issues weighing on Los Angeles at the moment including relief and recovery from January’s historic wildfires.
