Cal Boyington Dies: Talent Agent, Reality Producer & Vital Artists Agency Co-Founder Was 53
Cal Boyington, a talent and packaging agent at ICM, Paradigm and Vital Artists Agency who also executive-produced TV's 'Workaholics,' died November 15 at 53.
Born Michael Carlton Boyington on March 3, 1971, in Kansas City, MO, he spent his formative years in Vail, CO, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He co-launched Vital Artists Agency in late 2020 with Rebel Entertainment senior unscripted agents Phil Irven and April Yuan after the retirement of their former boss Richard Lawrence. Along with Comedy Central’s Workaholics, Boyington’s executive producer credits include the Hulu docudrama R5Sons Alaska, Discovery Channel’s Bible Quest, VH1’s Cabo and HDNet’s The Baker Boys.
