Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s highly anticipated sentient AI thriller 'Hot Spot' has found French distribution with The Jokers.
Polish director Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s (“The Silent Twins”) highly anticipated sentient AI thriller “Hot Spot” has found French distribution with The Jokers, in a deal that was brokered by Jan Naszewski’s Warsaw-based New Europe Film Sales. Emmy Award nominee Noomi Rapace (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”) stars alongside Andrzej Konopka and Reika Kirishima, working from an original script by regular Smoczyńska collaborator Robert Bolesto (“The Lure”). Based on the lives of June and Jennifer Gibbons, it earned stars Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance a BIFA [British Independent Film Award] for Best Joint Lead Performance.
