Bullseye host Jim Bowen's tragic end - from show axe to debilitating health battle
Bullseye host Jim Bowen passed away in 2018 after a long and successful career in entertainment, but the star's later years were plagued by ill health before his death
Despite health battles, last year he shared an upbeat update, saying: "[I'm] feeling fine and am keeping up the [physiotherapy] and having the occasional lunch out." On his website, he mentioned, "The phone still rings for interviews and the odd personal appearance which is good and it encourages me to keep my speech up to scratch." Not limited to Bullseye, Jim graced other classic shows such as Muck and Brass, Jonathan Creek and The Grimleys, and even played Hoss Cartwright in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights.
