Buffalo 8 Acquires Worldwide Rights To William Atticus Parker’s ‘Atrabilious’
Buffalo 8 has acquired worldwide distribution rights to mystery-thriller-dark comedy 'Atrabilious' directed, written, and produced by William Atticus Parker (Forty Winks).
The neo-noir stars Leon Addison Brown( The Knick, Forty Winks) and features Oscar winners and nominees, including Whoopi Goldberg ( Sister Act, The Color Purple) and Alec Baldwin(G lengarry Glen Ross, The Departed, Beetlejuice), alongside a critically acclaimed ensemble with Jeffrey Wright( The Batman, American Fiction, Westworld), Mark Boone Junior( Sons of Anarchy, Seven) and Evan Jonigkeit ( The Night House, Archive 81). “Director William Atticus Parker’s imaginative storytelling and the compelling performances from an impressive cast make this a standout addition to our lineup, and we can’t wait for viewers to experience its unique take on grief and intrigue.” “I’m incredibly proud of the work the A trabilious family has done, and after two and a half years, I never imagined we’d have the opportunity to collaborate with a team as wonderful as Buffalo 8,” Parker said, describing the film as “a darkly comedic and magical characterization of grief—a story I’ve wanted to tell for a long time—and I’m beyond excited to share it with the world alongside this amazing cast and crew.”
