Bruce Springsteen talks his new 'Road Diary' documentary and his and Patti Scialfa's deep love for The Doors at Q&A.
The movie had its Los Angeles premiere Monday night (Oct. 21) before a star-filled audience at the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum’s David Geffen Theater, which included Catherine O’Hara, Danny DeVito, Judd Apatow, John Densmore, Jackson Browne, Richie Sambora and Brandi Carlile. The film takes fans behind the scenes from the first day of rehearsals in a small, black box theater in New Jersey to stages across the world and, in the process, tells the story of the band’s 50 year friendship. “I was with him the last few days before he passed away,” Springsteen said during the Q&A, moderated by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation chairman and iHeart president of entertainment enterprises John Sykes.
