Brother Marquis, 2 Live Crew Member, Dead at 58


News of hip-hop artist Brother Marquis' death broke on Monday, and was shared by 2 Live Crew's Instagram account.

The artist, whose real name was Mark Ross, was known for his work as one of the members of iconic Miami rap group 2 Live Crew. Sources with knowledge of the situation spoke with TMZ, and said that foul play isn't suspected, and that his death appears to be natural. While not a founding member of the group, he worked with Luke Skyywalker, Dr. Mr. Mixx and Fresh Kid ice, and made his debut appearance on their album The 2 Live Crew Is What We Are, released in '86.
