Brooks Koepka Refused to Talk to Media at the U.S. Open: ‘Kinda Boring’
After his first round at the 124th U.S. Open Championship on Thursday, June 13, Brooks Koepka refused to talk to members of the media due to ‘lack of creativity with questions’
Koepka, 34, ditched his post-round press conference and, instead, agreed to a text exchange with Golfweek reporter Eamon Lynch. In the middle of the 2024 PGA Championship, held at the Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky, sports fans were surprised to learn Scottie Scheffler was detained hours before round two of the tournament took place […] Still, Koepka left the door open for a change of heart as the tournament progresses, saying that he’ll talk to the media “if I feel like it.”
