Brooks & Dunn Texas Tech Concert Rescheduled After Explosion, Fires on Campus
Brooks & Dunn's concert has been rescheduled and will take place Thursday, March 20.
Texas Tech president Lawrence Schovanec released a message to the campus community late Wednesday evening, noting that classes at Texas Tech have been canceled and the campus closed for Thursday and Friday. The message read in part, “Wednesday (March 12) evening, an explosion occurred in a tunnel, causing a fire. Electricity and gas were shut down across both the Texas Tech and Health Sciences Center campuses in Lubbock to keep the fire from spreading further.
