Brooke Shields is opening up about the invasive and 'irreversible' vaginal rejuvenation surgery that a doctor performed on her without consent: 'It was such an invasion.'

In a new Us Weekly cover story, Shields, 59, shared that the incident began when she paid a visit to her gynecologist, who inquired whether she had experienced discomfort over the size of her labia. "He informed me that he threw in a little bonus,” Shields said, revealing that in addition to the reduction, the surgeon had also performed a rejuvenation, otherwise known as vaginal tightening. Shields unpacks the incident further in her upcoming memoir, recalling her "horrified" reaction to the doctor, who acted as though he'd done her a "favor," but adding that she decided against suing him because "I didn't particularly want talk of my lady parts once again on the front page of every paper."
