Brooke Burke, 52, says son Shaya, 16, is 'safely out of surgery' as she's in 'awe of' his 'mindset, commitment & perseverance'
The 52-year-old star, who has past hosted shows such as Wild On! and Dancing With The Stars , said of her son, 'He's the strongest guy I know.'
The Connecticut native said she was 'in awe of [her] son’s mindset, commitment & perseverance' amid the adverse times; it was not immediately clear what Shaya was undergoing surgery for. Brooke Burke, 52, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an image of her son Shaya, 16, as he recovered from a recent surgical procedure in a hospital bed. In September 2021, Burke revealed she and fiancé Scott Rigsby, a real estate investor, had gotten engaged amid a romantic getaway on Italy's Amalfi Coast.
