Broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire reveals she had a miscarriage on a plane BUT still kept working


The BBC Newsnight presenter told a podcast it was 'bizarre' how 'pragmatic' she was at the time and added she could not bring herself to talk about the ordeal for five years.

Broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire has revealed her 'very upsetting experience' of suffering a miscarriage on a plane and told of how she still kept working despite the traumatic ordeal. Ms Derbyshire, married to producer Mark Sandell, now has two sons Oliver, 20, and Joe, 17 and she said the boys think 'fondly' of the fact they could have had a sister. Only last month, Ms Derbyshire also revealed the extent of trauma she suffered at the hands of her father Anthony who would throw scalding soup over her as a youngster.
