It comes after sources told DailyMail.com that Spears was deliberately trying to raise eyebrows when she claimed she had just turned 'five years old,' and that the 'incredibly savvy' singer is playing with the public in order to 'keep everyone talking' about her. The source added: 'With her new jewelry line coming out, the biopic in the works and the recently launched Britney Spears Merch site, she is keeping herself trending and this will be money in her pocket.' Further insisting that the star is fully in control of the online narrative around her behavior, the insider dished: 'She is sane, incredibly savvy and has so much free time on her hands.
