The arrangement began in 2008 and officially ended in 2021, with her father Jamie Spears serving as co-conservator for a majority of the time, and she has previously slammed him for his role in the legal matter. The pop icon was entered into the conservatorship on February 1, 2008, with Judge Reva Goetz placing her father, Jamie Spears, and attorney Andrew M. Wallet, as conservators. Wallet resigned as co-conservator in 2019 and that same year Jodi Montgomery was appointed as Spears's personal conservator and briefly took control of her finances when dad Jamie had to step away due to illness.
