Britney Spears defends Kate Beckinsale against ageist trolls who said she was too old to be dancing in her fifties: 'She looks 4 years old'

Spears, 42, posted a text post in which she came to the defense of Beckinsale, 50, who has been contending with personal issues.

I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age appropriate content ... she's in her fifties and I thought it was pretty badass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally 4 years old!!!' Beckinsale earlier this month took to Instagram to push back on critics who cited her age and appearance in response to a series of social media posts in which she blew off steam amid troubled times. Beckinsale cited the 'stress and grief' she's experienced amid the death of her stepfather Roy Battersby earlier this year, as well as her mother Judy Loe's cancer diagnosis as well as health issues she's contended with.
