Britney Spears confirms her biopic isn't in development

Britney Spears has confirmed that the film she's developing with director Jon M Chu isn't a biopic, but a "fictional musical".

It was reported in early August that Spears was in the process of developing her biopic with Wicked director Jon M Chu, based on her recent memoir The Woman In Me. “Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt,” she wrote on social media at the time. The book contained a number of notable revelations in its candid discussion of her career, relationships, 13-year conservatorship and personal experiences.
