Britney Spears Biopic, Based on Her Memoir, in the Works

Britney Spears confirmed a 'secret project' was in the works with Wicked's Marc Platt. Variety reports it's happening with Jon Chu at Universal.

On Thursday, the pop star announced that she was “working on a secret project,” seemingly a biopic, with producer Marc Platt. Minutes later, Variety reported that Universal Pictures had picked up the rights for the film, with Platt and Jon Chu — who are both working on Wicked — attached to develop it. “Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt,” wrote Spears on X.
