Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Settle Their Divorce 9 Months After Filing
PEOPLE confirms Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have settled their divorce, nine months after filing last August. The former couple now await a judge's final signoff.
In the filing obtained by PEOPLE, Asghari cited irreconcilable differences as their reason for divorcing and July 28, 2023 as their date of separation. "As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter.” Jamie’s attorney, Alex Weingarten, said that the two parties “reached a settlement agreement resolving all outstanding disputes.”
