Millie Bobby Brown is setting the record straight after she was accused of actively losing her British accent in favor of sounding 'more American.'
The Stranger Things star, 20, raised eyebrows last week while appearing on The Tonight Show as fans called her out for speaking 'differently' during her interview with host Jimmy Fallon Balegde, who revealed he hails 'from a very small northern town' in England, agreed with Brown's explanation about her changing accent by sharing how he's experience a similar situation when he went to college in a different part of the country. The bulk of the backlash over her accent came after she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 29, where one fan described her way of speaking to 'like a rich valley girl,' according to Page Six.
