Elsewhere, Alex Garland’s Civil War won Best Effects for David Simpson – his second BIFA win after 2022’s Men. With 12 overall BIFA nominations, Rose Glass’s Love Lies Bleeding won Best Cinematography while Best Costume Design went to Michael O’Connor for Firebrand. Today’s winners were rounded out by Lisa Mustafa, who won Best Make-Up & Hair Design BIFA for her work on Unicorn.
