Britain to be battered by 30-hour snow blizzard - and these are exact timings
Weather modellng maps show snow will fall across the entire 1,000km length of the UK in a 30-hour Arctic blitz, model predictions showing snow first forming over North Wales and the north-west of England
Torrential rain is also forecasted to sweep across Wales, the Midlands and southern England simultaneously, potentially washing away any snow that has settled on the ground on January 24, reports the Mirror. The Met Office has hinted at a chilly end to the month with "snow" and "ice" potentially in the mix, plus the start of February might even see some Arctic chills. The forecast continues, "This is likely to result in areas of rain and periods of stronger winds affecting most if not all parts of the UK at times, though with the wettest and windiest weather probably occurring towards the north and west.
