Brit Indie Feature ‘Madfabulous,’ Starring Callum Scott Howells, Ruby Stokes and Rupert Everett, Boarded by Upgrade and Gersh for Sales (EXCLUSIVE)

The Brit period indie from filmmaker Celyn Jones stars Callum Scott Thomas, Ruby Stokes and Rupert Everett

The film — described as an “alternative period drama” and inspired by the life of the fifth Marquess of Anglesey — was recently chosen by the British Council and BFI for their 2025 crop of Great 8 projects showcased in Cannes. “Madfabulous” stars Callum Scott Howells (a BAFTA Wales winner for “It’s A Sin”) as the young and rebellious aristocrat Henry Paget, who returns from France to inhabit his family’s majestic castle on the island of Anglesey, only to lead a life of flamboyance, performance, excess and defiance. The film also stars Paul Rhys (“Napoleon,” “Saltburn”), Louis Hynes (“The Great,” “A Series of Unfortunate Events”), Louise Brealey (Chuck Chuck Baby, Such Brave Girls), Tom Rhys-Harries (“White Lines,” “Suspicion”), Siobhán McSweeney (“Derry Girls,” “Extraordinary”), Guillaume Gallienne (“The Regime,” “Marie Antoinette”), Steve Speirs (“The Tuckers,” “Afterlife”), and Kevin Eldon (“Rings of Power,” “Trigger Point”), among others.
