Brie Larson to Make West End Debut With ‘Elektra’

Oscar-winning actor Brie Larson will make her West End debut with a revival of Sophocles' play 'Elektra' from 'Oklahoma!' director Daniel Fish.

In the play, written by the ancient Greek tragedian circa 420 BC, Elektra, haunted by her father’s assassination, is consumed by grief; a need for survival; and a thirst for vengeance. Empire Street Productions, the outfit behind “Slave Play” at London’s Noël Coward Theatre headlined by Kit Harrington and Olivia Washington, is producing. Larson, Oscar winner for “Room,” said: “I couldn’t be more excited to perform in this Greek drama, or in better company collaborating with Daniel Fish and Anne Carson.
