The real-life locations where Bridget Jones navigates her life as a mother-of-two and singleton in London in the fourth instalment of the film series have been revealed.
But the human rights lawyer, reputedly based on a young Keir Starmer, still exists in her memories, including a tear-jerking dream sequence outside this £10 million mansion in Thurloe Place, Knightsbridge. In A Chelsea backstreet is The Pig's Ear pub – once owned by footballer Frank Lampard and named after Cockney rhyming slang for beer – where Bridget's former lover, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), is seen awaiting her, having driven up in his vintage Mercedes. Bridget juggles her kids, a chaotic love life and a career as a screenwriter at Better Women, a fictional company based at the real Moor House, a curved building in the City.
