Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan says she insisted on 'empowering' nude scene

The Netflix star said that wanted certain lines and moments for Penelope Featherington this season

"There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice," she told Stylist magazine. The Co Galway native, who shot to fame after starring in Derry Girls, said that she had never filmed a nude scene until Bridgerton. Earlier this month, she praised her co-star Luke Newton, who plays her love interest Colin Bridgerton in the show, for how comfortable he made her feel.
