Brian Tyree Henry Joins Uni’s Pharrell Williams-Michel Gondry Musical
Brian Tyree Henry is the newest addition to Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry's coming-of-age musical for Universal Pictures.
Written by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson, the film set in 1977 Virginia Beach draws inspiration from Williams’ childhood growing up in the city’s Atlantis Apartments. He landed his first Oscar nomination for his work opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Apple TV+’s veteran drama Causeway and has also appeared in films like Bullet Train, Eternals, Joker, If Beale Street Could Talk, and Widows, among others. Up next, the actor will be seen starring in Amazon MGM Studios’ boxing drama The Fire Inside from filmmaker Rachel Morrison, out August 9.
