Vera actor Brenda Blethyn previously revealed she was rushed to the hospital while filming on set. The 78-year-old star has been playing the lead role of DCI Vera Stanhope in the ITV crime drama series since 2011. She continued: “But because it was dealt with immediately within the hour of it happening by a doctor [it wasn’t as bad] I was taken to hospital straight away.”
