The Queen honoured domestic violence campaigner Diana Parkes with a Pride of Britain award in a surprise ceremony at Clarence House. To her surprise, as Diana prepared to be interviewed, Camilla walked into the room with a golden envelope, announcing her and Hetti as winners of the Special Recognition award, reports the Mirror. The Queen added: “I have had the privilege of meeting women, and some men, over the years who have opened up to me about their stories as victims of abuse within the home and who still live in permanent fear.
