Brandy reveals she wants to return for the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot... after the director insisted the 1998 sequel is still canon
With Sony moving forward on their I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot with a July 2025 release date, a star from the original sequel wants to return: Brandy.
Sony quickly put together the 1998 sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, which brought back Love Hewitt and Prinze Jr., along with new characters played by singer/actress Brandy and Mekhi Phifer, which only took in $40 million at the box office. After the director tweeted that the sequel is still canon, many started pushing for Brandy to return as Karla Wilson, with the singer agreeing, in a new interview with THR.
