Boy George reflected on comments he made prior to Liam Payne's death in October and compared the news to when he found out that Amy Winehouse died.

The artist acknowledged feeling as though Payne was "out of control," but compared learning the news of his death to when he found out that Amy Winehouse died But having been active in the music industry for more than four decades, the older artist has been around long enough to recognize patterns and experience a number of hardships himself. During the podcast appearance, George recalled seeing “heartbreaking” images of the young artist’s father visiting the Argentina hotel where Payne died after falling from a balcony.
