Box Office: ‘Minecraft’ Powers to $816 Million Globally, ‘Sinners’ Surpasses $161 Million

Warner Bros. has dominated at the box office in April as “ A Minecraft Movie ” and “ Sinners ” continue to shatter expectations. The R-rated horror movie isn’t resonating as strongly at the overseas box office, though its still holding steady with ticket sales down just 14% from last weekend. In North America, “Sinners” scored a massive $45 million in its second outing, the rare film with a sophomore weekend that nearly matched its debut.
