Bowen Yang's commitment to the bit once again proved fruitful, as the Oscars brought back the Fab Five format for the Costume Design presentation.

Reupping the “Fab Five” format for the Costume Design presentation, Lily-Rose Depp, Elle Fanning, John Lithgow, Connie Nielsen and Bowen Yang appeared onstage to shoutout their respective costume designers for the films Nosferatu, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Gladiator II and Wicked. And while everyone showed up in their finery for Hollywood’s biggest night, with Depp’s dress reminiscent of the gothic tone of the Robert Eggers’ horror-tinged drama, only Yang adopted the full costume he wears in Wicked as a student at Shiz University.
