Bow Wow Reveals Beats He Passed On — Including Rick Ross, Drake & French Montana’s ‘Stay Schemin’
The rapper and actor revealed that he and Meek Mill were originally supposed to record a track using the 'Stay Schemin'' beat.
Sitting down with former NBA player Jeff Teague for his Club 520 podcast, Bow Wow was asked which songs he’s passed on over the course of his career. First, he mentioned passing on the beat that eventually became Wale ‘s “ Lotus Flower Bomb,” featuring Miguel, because nothing was sticking when he was trying to write a song for it. Finally, the rapper and actor revealed that he and Meek Mill had the “ Stay Schemin ” beat before Rick Ross, French Montana and Drake made it into a top 20 Hot Rap Songs hit.
