Boots reveals stores that will close as it announces 47 will vanish from high streets this summer
Boots has already closed 253 stores and has confirmed that the final 47 are expected to shut their doors by the end of summer after the high street giant announced it would close a total of 300 stores by the end of 2024
Iconic high street retailer Boots is set to close another 47 stores by the end of this summer, despite being a beloved presence for over 150 years. The strategy for the widespread closures was revealed back in June 2023, and as it stands, Boots has already closed 253 shops, with the remaining 47 expected to cease operations by the end of the summer season. These figures are predicted to surpass the 2023 total, which witnessed 20,642 individuals losing their jobs in a single year, along with the closure of 971 stores and the disappearance of 61 businesses.
