Bon Jovi Prepping ‘Forever’ Album, Drop Upbeat ‘Legendary’ Single
Bon Jovi announced the release date for their 16th studio album, 'Forever' and dropped the upbeat 'Legendary' single on Thursday (March 14).
The Jersey giants announced the news on Thursday morning (March 14), along with releasing the LP’s first single, the upbeat rock bop “Legendary.” The CGI-heavy video for “Legendary” finds the band rocking out in a grassy digital field as leader Bon Jovi sings, “Who are you and who am I/ To think that we could ever fly/ It don’t pay to even try/ Work get paid and just get by,” before busting into the uplifting chorus, “I raise my hands up to the sky/ Don’t need more to tell me I’m alive/ Got what I want/ Cuz I got what I need/ Got a fistful of friends/ That’ll stand up for me/ Right where I am is where I wanna be.” The rousing chorus packs in several allusions to classic rock songs, including Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl.” The band will be the subject of the upcoming four-part Hulu docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, which will debut on the streamer on April 26.
