And while he missed out on the lead character, Odenkirk eventually landed a small guest role on The Office, appearing in the show's ninth and final season. 'Although, I do think that what I was doing was more a tribute to Steve because that's what I was supposed to be doing,' the six-time Emmy Award nominee explained to hosts Fischer and Kinsey, who played Pam Beesly and Angela Martin, respectively.
