Bob Odenkirk Returning For ‘Nobody 2’; Timo Tjahjanto To Direct For Universal, 87North
Bob Odenkirk is set to return for 'Nobody 2,' a sequel to his hit Uni action thriller 'Nobody,' which Indonesia's Timo Tjahjanto will direct.
While plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps, the original film centered on Hutch Mansell (Odenkirk), a seemingly ordinary suburban father who suppresses his past as a deadly government assassin. Directed by Ilya Naishuller from a script by Kolstad, the darkly comedic and compellingly choreographed actioner debuted at No.1 at the domestic box office, grossing over $57M worldwide upon its release by Universal amid the transition out of the Covid pandemic, in March 2021. The creator and writer of the John Wick franchise, Kolstad has in the past few years adapted The Man from Nowhere for New Line and Splinter Cell for Netflix; created Nobody for Universal and Die Hart for Quibi/Roku; Co-EP’d Marvel/Disney+’s limited series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and produced The Princess for 20th/Hulu and The Continental for Lionsgate/Peacock.
