BMI Celebrates ‘Game of Thrones’ Composer Ramin Djawadi With Icon Honor at Annual Film and TV Awards
'Game of Thrones' composer Ramin Djawadi received the Icon award at the BMI Film and TV Awards, which also honored the year's scoring achievements.
Also honored at the black-tie, invitation-only event were composers of the year’s top-grossing films, top-rated prime time network series, and highest ranking cable and streaming media programs. Composers of streaming shows honored included Sherri Chung (“Based on a True Story “), Tom Howe (“Ted Lasso”), Chris Bacon (“Wednesday”), Carlos Rafael Rivera (“Lessons in Chemistry”), Blake Neely (“You”) and Kevin, Deana and Sean Kiner (“Ahsoka”). A new category, music for video games, featured honorees Stephen Barton (“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”), Inon Zur (“Starfield”), Ted Reedy (“Diablo IV”) and the team of Chuck E. Myers “Sea” and J. Scott Rakozy (“Hogwarts Legacy”).
