Blue Lights star Katherine Devlin's life away from the beat: Irish actress shares photos from her travels and behind the scenes antics on set of the gritty police drama

Blue Lights returned to screens this week for a second series, after 7million viewers tuned into the first installment of the gritty Belfast-based police drama last year.

Blue Lights star Katherine has revealed how much the BBC drama has changed her life, since she landed the role of Annie, her first lead part on screen, off the back of a single self-tape And Blue Lights has seen Katherine's proud family become the talk of the town back home with the actress revealing during an interview with The Independent last year that during Easter week her mother went to Mass every single day for an excuse to show off her daughter. The series centres around three probationary PSNI officers at the fictional Blackthorn Station as they deal with the communities of post-Troubles Belfast (pictured with Nathan Braniff who plays Tommy Foster)
