Blind Big Brother star Mikey Hughes has recounted the terrifying moment he fell onto a railway track, crediting quick-thinking members of the public with saving his life. The 48 year old, who navigates independently using a white stick due to his blindness, had intended to travel to Partick station on Monday but disembarked at the wrong stop. Adding a touch of humour to his reflection, he said: "I'll make sure I keep my cane on the ground next time, rather than waving it about like a Harry Potter wand and I won't always keep my ear defenders on now.
