Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan Team Up for New Singing Competition Show ‘The Road’
'The Road' singing competition show will invite prospective stars on a nationwide tour, with the hopes of garnering a local following.
Blake Shelton is returning to his roots of helping discover emerging artists on singing competition shows — but this time, he won’t be in a spinning chair. “I’m a big fan of Taylor’s incredible work, and I’m excited to team with him and my long-time collaborator, Lee, on The Road,” Shelton said to Deadline. Shelton served as a judge on The Voice since its 2011 inception alongside coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green before stepping down from the swiveling red chair earlier this year.
