Blake Lively leads tributes to ‘brave’ Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg after death at 39
Buffy The Vampire Slayer star and Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg has sadly passed away at the age of 39, with fans and co-stars of the actress paying tribute to her on social media
"She laughed the fullest at someone's joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself." Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall also paid homage, sharing a snapshot from their time together on the film Ice Princess, and simply stating: "Rest in peace sweet Michelle". Born and raised in New York, the actress revealed on the XOXO podcast with Jessica Szohr that she rubbed shoulders with many Upper East Siders in her 20s who were "very similar to the Gossip Girl characters and involved in that world", even going so far as to say "and some were actually more scandalous than the show portrayed".
