Blackpink’s Jisoo, Seo In-guk to Star in Netflix K-Drama ‘Boyfriend on Demand’
Netflix has greenlit Korean romantic comedy series 'Boyfriend on Demand,' featuring Blackpink member Jisoo and Seo In-guk in lead roles.
Netflix has greenlit a new Korean romantic comedy series “ Boyfriend on Demand ” (working title), featuring Blackpink member Jisoo alongside Seo In-guk (“Doom at Your Service,” “Café Minamdang”) in lead roles. At the helm is director Kim Jung-sik, known for his deft touch with in series like comedy-drama “Work Later, Drink Now” and comedy-romance “No Gain No Love.” The helmer’s track record suggests the show will balance its high-tech premise with grounded emotional storytelling. In “Newtopia,” Park Jeon-min plays Lee Jae-yoon, a man completing his mandatory military service, while Jisoo takes on the role of Kang Young-joo, his girlfriend navigating early career challenges.
