Billy Connolly, 81, shares health update as he admits being sick feels 'strange' amid battle with Parkinson's disease

The comedian, 81, was diagnosed with the degenerative condition ten years ago.

Nicknamed the Big Yin, Connolly worked as a welder in the Glasgow shipyards before starting a career as a folk singer. The loss of dopamine-producing neurons results in low levels of dopamine in the part of the brain that controls movement and balance.
