Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’ Wins Best Original Song at Oscars 2024


Billie Eilish and Finneas won the Oscar for Best Original Song for 'What Was I Made For?' from 'Barbie.'

The singer shouted out Barbie director Greta Gerwig and her choir teacher in her acceptance speech “I’m grateful for this song and this movie and the way it made me feel,” she added, dedicating the award to the people impacted by Barbie and shouting out director Greta Gerwig. For Eilish and Finneas, this is the siblings’ second Best Original Song win, having previously scored an Oscar for “No Time to Die” (from the James Bond film of the same name) in 2021.
