Billie Eilish is announced as Apple Music's Artist of the Year after winning an Academy Award and two Grammys


The singer, 22, won the award due to her 'extraordinary impact throughout 2024' which saw her bag an Academy Award and two Grammys for her contribution to the Barbie soundtrack.

Billie penned the emotional song What Was I Made For Her for the award winning film by Greta Gerwig before releasing her third album Hit Me Hard and Soft. Rachel Newman, Apple Music's senior director of content and editorial said: 'From the moment we first heard Ocean Eyes nearly a decade ago, we've been fans and champions of Billie's work. It's been a busy year for the star who also performed her hit Birds of a Feather at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles (pictured)
