Billboard’s Songs of the Summer Chart Returns, Led by Alex Warren’s ‘Ordinary’

The Songs of the Summer chart is back for 2025, led by Alex Warren's "Ordinary."

The 20-position Songs of the Summer running tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year encompassing charts dated June 7 through Sept. 6). Wallen claims eight songs on the chart — all from his new Billboard 200-topping album, I’m the Problem — the most by an artist in a single week, surpassing the six that Drake rang up on the June 6, 2018, survey. Harry Styles’ “As It Was” reigned in 2022, after BTS’ “Butter” led in 2021 and DaBaby’s “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch, ruled for 2020.
